Oda Nobutomo (織田 信友; died 1555) was Oda Nobunaga's uncle who was known for his warlording tendencies throughout his rule as daimyō of Owari Province during Japan's Sengoku period. From 1552 to 1554, Nobutomo rebelled against his nephew, who had ascended to the position of clan leader after his father Nobuhide's death. Nobutomo conspired to assassinate Nobunaga and was caught. Though initially forgiven, Nobutomo's continued plotting against Nobunaga led to his capture and execution in 1555.[1]
