Myriam was a huntress during the American Revolutionary War. Instead of choosing the traditional alternatives of covenants or brothel for a woman, she chose to live a life in the wild.
The Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton found Myriam and invited her to stay at the Homestead to recuperate, after he had found her injured following an attack by a group of poachers. After the Assassin eliminated all but one from the group who attacked her, and on the medical assistance of Achilles Davenport, Myriam began to sell her surplus kills to the people of the Homestead.
Following a close encounter with the surviving poacher who had returned with murderous intentions, in which a gift from Maurice saved her life, Myriam realized that she was attracted to him, and began a relationship with Maurice which culminated in an eventual marriage to him, though she required reassurance from Ratonhnhaké:ton on her wedding day.
