Ms. Morehead was a client of the Malta Banking Corporation branch in San Diego, United States. In 2015, the elderly Ms. Morehead went to her bank when she needed money for her daughter's medical bills. Charlotte de la Cruz, the employee who met with her, illegally diverted $10,000 USD from real-estate developers to her account after learning that Morehead's insurance would not cover her daughter's healthcare.[1]
