Mont Saint Denis was a region in the eastern reaches of the River Valley, New York, north of Vallée Verte.
In the mid-17th century, the area was still in the progress of being colonized, with the trees already having been removed and the materials ready for construction. Similarly, the beginnings of a mining system into the nearby cavern had also been set up. During the Seven Years' War, the Templar Shay Cormac visited the region, renovating a local cabin and exploring the caves.
At the time, the western areas of Mont Saint Denis still remained untouched by the settlers, instead inhabited by beavers and hares.
