Maryland is a state located in the northeastern region of the United States, bordered by Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. It was one of the thirteen colonies that claimed independence from Great Britain during the American Revolutionary War.
History
A year after the Boston Tea Party, a group of Patriots in Annapolis burned the cargo vessel the Peggy Stewart, having been buoyed by apprentices of the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton.
Before the Revolution, Maryland was reluctant to claim independence. The Colonial Assassins eventually convinced the delegates to the Continental Congress to join the fight and eliminated a Templar who had infiltrated the Maryland Congress. The Congress was slow to make decisions, prompting the Assassins to help its members come to the decision to form a new, permanent government. No major battles were fought in the state during the war.
