Li Longji (李隆基; 685 – 762), temple name Xuanzong of Tang (唐玄宗), was an Emperor of the Tang dynasty in China, reigning from 713 to 756.
In the first thirty years of his rule, he was credited with bringing the Tang dynasty to the pinnacle of culture and power. In the later period, his over-trust of Yang Guozhong, Li Linfu, and jiedushi An Lushan led to the devastating An Lushan Rebellion.[1]
