The "Korea" page in Wikipedia makes the most sense b/c even though it ostensibly treats it as being about the region to be non-controversial due to the parameters of a "civilization" always being vague, it essentially is treating the two synonymously for the purpose of the article. |

South Korea, officially the Republic of Korea, is a sovereign state situated in East Asia comprising the southern division of Korea.
History
Abstergo Industries keeps an office there in the nation's capital, Seoul.[1]
In 2015, the Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins's Mentor, Saeko Mochizuki, sent a team into South Korea to aid the local Assassin cell as part of the organization's global hunt for Álvaro Gramática, Abstergo's Director of Research in Future Technology. Gramática became a top priority when the Assassins learned of his plan to reconstruct an Isu's body using a Shroud of Eden and his laboratory.[2][3]
