Keleos was the first king of Eleusis, in Attika, Greece.

According to myth, Keleos' daughters met the disguised goddess Demeter at the Anthion Flowery Well, and their father gave the goddess sanctuary in his palace. In return, Demeter taught him the Eleusinian Mysteries.[1]She also taught his son Triptolemos the art of agriculture, and he spread this knowledge throughout the Greek world.[2]
