Otso Berg (born 17 June 1985) was a former member of the Special Forces, and by 2012, an agent of the Operations Division of Abstergo Industries. In an agent evaluation report, Ctibor Hašek identified him as a potential candidate for the Inner Sanctum, noting him as an obedient, loyal agent who was dedicated to the Templar cause.
On 16 November 2012, Berg was sent to Manhattan, New York to locate Daniel Cross, who had escaped the Philadelphia facility the previous day. Daniel had been suffering from the Bleeding Effect, and attacked Berg, but was neutralized and returned to Abstergo.
Nine days later, in Helsinki, Finland, Berg was seen with his three-year old daughter.
On 30 November, Berg was sent to launch an attack on the Assassin base run by Harlan T. Cunningham but it was blown up by Adriano Maestranzi along with all the information it contained.
In a text message sent to William Miles on 1 December, it was stated by Harlan that he had survived the incident. On December 3, Ctibor made a new Agent evaluation report about him. The report reveals that he survived with burns to his face.
