The misthios Kassandra found these gauntlets after she defeated the men of the Cyclops of Kephallonia in a sacked village.[1]

  • The name of the gauntlets references the story of Ixion, the first man to kill kin in Greek mythology, and his ultimate punishment of being shackled to a fiery spinning wheel, which in later tellings was said to be in Tartaros.
