Homecoming is a memory in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Description
Mario and Ezio Auditore arrive at Monteriggioni on horseback after their four day ride from Rome. Upon riding through the gates, Ezio is greeted by the many citizens of Monteriggioni. After they arrive at the steps of the Villa Auditore, Ezio is welcomed by his sister, Claudia Auditore da Firenze, who also informs him that Caterina Sforza had come to meet him. Claudia also inquired as to what happened in the vault, to which Ezio told her to gather everyone in Mario's study later where he would explain.
Dialogue
- Ezio: ...and then Minerva talked about the sun. She told of a disaster that occurred long ago and another that is coming.
- Mario: Sometime far in future, vero (right)? Then we need not worry about it.
- Ezio: Sì (Yes). Perhaps our work is finished.
- Mario: Would that be so bad?
- A cannonball crashes into the ground next to them as they ride toward the city gates, just missing them.

- Mario: (Laughing) We upgraded the arsenal while you were away.
- Ezio: Ah. And it is now customary for you to fire cannonballs at visitors?
- Mario: My apologies. We only installed them a few days ago. My men are still being trained in their use.
The two men reach the city gates and ride into Monteriggioni.
- Woman: Welcome back Ezio.
- Boy: Ezio! Look it's Ezio! Let me see!
- Ezio: Buon Giorno (Good day). It is good to be home.
- Man: Felice Anno Nuovo! (Happy New Year!)
- Ezio: This place just keeps getting better.
- Mario: Thanks to you.
Mario and Ezio reach the stairs that lead to the Villa Auditore and dismount their horses. They are met by Claudia.

- Claudia: Brother!
- Ezio: Claudia. (They embrace) It is good to be home. How is mother?
- Claudia: She's fine. I heard you were returning, but I am glad to see it with my own eyes. The Contessa (Countess) of Forlì is here to welcome you. I had no idea you were so famous!
- Ezio: Caterina? Here?
- Claudia: Is it finished, then? Is the Spaniard truly dead?
- Ezio: Gather the others in Mario's study tonight. I'll explain everything there.
- Mario: Steel yourself, Ezio. They will have many questions.
- Ezio: Claudia, tell the Contessa (Countess) I look forward to seeing her this evening.
Outcome
Claudia and Mario go into the Villa, and Ezio is free to roam around Monteriggioni.
