The black and white colored robes this outfit contains is very similar to the black-robed design in Assassin's Creed, although it is tailored to Ezio's body. The torso is completely covered with stylised metal plates. The right arm includes a high shoulder guard, absent from the left arm to make room for the cape. The armor replaces both of Ezio's bracers, similar to the Armor of Brutus. Also, it gives Ezio two gloves, whereas the Armor of Brutus removes your glove. Neither affects gameplay or equipment, such as the Climb Leap Glove. Included in this outfit is an attached Knife Belt and a closed inner collar, both unique to this outfit.
Bugs
- If the armor is worn by Ezio before encountering the first Cristina memory, an older Ezio appears in the memories instead. This is mainly caused by the cosmetic nature of the armor.
- Whenever Ezio removes his hood during a cutscene the player will still seem to be wearing it. This also occurs with other cosmetic armours and the Armor of Brutus.
Trivia
- "Helmschmied Drachen" is German for "Helmet Smith Dragon."
- The Helmschmied armor also appears as a purchasable item in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, where its description states that it's "The finest in foreign engineering" and has an incredible price of 200,000 florins.[3]
- Official Concept artwork shows that the Helmschmied Drachen Armor was planned to be colored white, yet in-game, it appears black.
- It is a redesign of the Helmschmied armor in Assassin's Creed 2. [citation needed]
