The Helmschmied Drachen Armor.

The Helmschmied Drachen Armor is a pre-order bonus of the Codex Edition and the Auditore Edition of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is also available to those who pre-ordered Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood from Amazon.com, Ubisoft.com Steam for the PC version or Play.com. It also becomes available with the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC.

Fashioned by the Helmschmied Armory in 1489, only a few sets were completed due to the weight of the metal. As opposed to its name, the Helmschmied Drachen Armor is merely a cosmetic outfit for Ezio, and as such, does not function as an actual set of armor, nor affects gameplay.

Trivia

  • "Helmschmied Drachen" is German for "helmet smith dragon."
  • Like the Armor of Brutus, the Helmschmied Drachen Armor replaces both of Ezio's bracers, rather than just his right one. In addition, it gives him two gloves, rather than one. This does not affect equipment such as the Climb Leap Glove. Also Ezio has the Knife Belt attached, unlike his normal outfits.
  • The white fabric around Ezio's neck is actually attached, rather than left open, as in his standard outfit.
  • The Helmschmied armor also appears as a purchasable item in Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, where its description states that it's "The finest in foreign engineering" and has an incredible price of 200,000 florins.
  • Official Concept artwork shows that the Helmschmied Drachen Armor was planned to be colored white, yet in-game, it appears black.
