Cornering the man against a wall, the bodyguard hooked the end of his battle-staff around Lampugnani's throat and, despite Giovanni's pleas not to, killed the Templar by snapping his neck. After spitting on Lampugnani's corpse, he went to mourn Sforza, who had died of his wounds.

Ali was the Moorish bodyguard of Galeazzo Maria Sforza, the Duke of Milan.
