George II (9 November 1683 – 25 October 1760), sometimes referred to as George Augustus, was King of Great Britain and Ireland, and Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg from his ascendancy on 22 June 1727 until his death.

He was succeded by his grandson, George William Frederick.
