Also known as Gaelec-Yannick Simard, Gaelec Simard was a mission director and Team Lead Level Designer on Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at Ubisoft Montreal where his area of focus was the single player missions.

Prior to this he worked as a mission coordinator on Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed: Revelations ensuring continuity between the storyline and gameplay elements.

Currently, he is working on an as of yet unnamed Assassin's Creed series title.

  • Simard has confirmed via his twitter account that he is working on an as yet unnamed Assassin's Creed title for release in 2012.
  • Prior to working at Ubisoft he also worked alongside Alexandre Amancio in the gaming company Microïds.
  • He is also good friends with Martin Schelling, both of whom have worked on Prince of Persia: Warrior Within as their first project at Ubisoft.
  • Numerous articles and websites have misspelled his name as Gaelic, often times and much to his amusement Simard has pointed this out in his twitter account.
