Francesco de' Pazzi

Francesco de' Pazzi (1444-1478) is the father of Vieri de' Pazzi and one of the Pazzi conspirators. He is the third assassination target of Ezio. He is also secretly a Templar. Apart from that, he was also one of Firenze's wealthiest nobles.

He is first seen discussing with Rodrigo Borgia (the leader of the Templars),along with his son and his father Jacopo de' Pazzi, in San Gimignano. He is later seen in a chamber,underneath a cathedral in Florence, discussing with his father and the Pazzi Conspirators about the assassination of Lorenzo de' Medici. He is seen as being very confident that their mission will be a success, but Jacopo warns him that confidence led to the death of his son (killed by Ezio). During a High Mass at the Duomo, he violently stabs Lorenzo's brother, Giuliano, 19 times leading to his death. He then tries to kill Lorenzo, but Ezio fights him off (forcing him to flee). He and Jacopo's soldiers attack Florence. Ezio kills him while attempting to flee, and his naked body is hung over the Palazzo della Signoria by angry florentines while Jacopo agitates the citizens, causing him to flee.

Ezio: Meglio essere felici in questa vita che aspirare a esserlo nella prossima. (Better to be content in this life, than aspire to it in the next) Requiescat in Pace. (Rest in peace)

Trivia

• It might be that Francesco de' Pazzi had a daughter as well. Hinted in the games start, "Boys will be boys" Ezio comments "Your sister seemed quite satisfied with the handling I gave her earlier" to Vieri de' Pazzi just before their fight.
