Fort Arsenal was a stronghold in New York City that was occupied by gang members during the mid-18th century. In June 1756, the Templar Shay Cormac saved Christopher Gist from execution via hanging on its grounds.
Upon realizing that his ship, the Morrigan, was anchored at the nearby docks, Shay cleared the area of gang members and took possession of the stronghold, using it as his residence and personal headquarters.
Trivia
- During the events of Assassin's Creed III, Fort Arsenal was not present on the New York City layout. Whether it was destroyed in the Great Fire that ensued, or was a developmental oversight, remains to be known.
