The Alemanni were a confederation of Germanic tribes, residing near the upper Rhine, during the Roman era.
During the mid-3rd century, the Hidden One Accipiter, a member of the Liberalis Circulum, served as a general in the Aleman army. In 259 CE, he led his forces to victory in a battle against the Roman army commanded by General Gracchus.[1] Later, Accipiter also led the Alemanni in attacks on Lugdunum and Italy.[2]
