Ferris

Ferris was a member of the British Rite of the Templar Order active in the early 20th century and the mentor-like figure of Darius Gift. After Thaddeus Gift, Darius' father, was killed by the Black Cross in 1927 for stealing money from the Order, Ferris was the only Templar present at his funeral in the Temple Church.

Following the ceremony, Ferris tasked Darius, who was eager to clean his tarnished name, with delivering a package to the Shanghai Rite, seemingly in an effort to appease the rising tensions between their two rites. He also promised to the young man that upon his return from China, he will be formally inducted into the Order and will have access to any university of his choosing.
