A year later, he graduated and returned home, where he built up a concept art portfolio. Following his work on several games at Digital Extremes, Acosta contributed to the feature film Sin City: A Dame to Kill for, being responsible for environment and mood paintings, as well as 3D layouts. He was later hired by Ubisoft as Senior Concept Artist on Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, for which he created character designs, environments concepts and keyframe paintings.
