Fernando Acosta

Fernando Acosta is a freelance concept and storyboard artist from Bogotà, Colombia, currently residing in Vancouver, Canada.

Biography

Originally an electrical engineer in his home country of Colombia, Acosta decided to study at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, or VanArts for short, in 2005. A year later, he graduated and returned home, where he built up a concept art portfolio. Acosta eventually immigrated to Canada, gaining official citizenship there and working for a variety of companies.

Following his work on several games at Digital Extremes, Acosta contributed to the feature film Sin City: A Dame to Kill for, being responsible for environment and mood paintings, as well as 3D layouts. He was later hired by Ubisoft as Senior Concept Artist on Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, for which he created character designs, environments concepts and keyframe paintings.
