The Eurybia

The Eurybia was a heavy trireme made by Machaon of the Silver Vein and captained by a man known as the Mytilenian Shark, a member of the Gods of the Aegean Sea branch of the Cult of Kosmos.

Before captaining the Eurybia, the Mytilenian Shark was the captain of a ship called the Shark's Head. However, the Shark's Head was sunk.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Eurybia encountered the ship Adrestia, commanded by the Spartan misthios Kassandra and captained by Barnabas. The Eurybia was sunk, and Kassandra killed the Mytilenian Shark.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The name of the Eurybia, a ship in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, references the daughter of Gaia and Pontus, who was considered the goddess of mastery of the seas and power over them.
