The Esquiline Hill (Latin: Collis Esquilinus, Italian: Esquilino) is one of the seven hills of Rome.

History

During the Republic, he Esquiline was another fashionable residential district. The Roman Emperor Nero confiscated property here to build his opulent Golden Palace.[1] The Roman Emperor Trajan also constructed his bath complex on the Esquiline.[2]
