Esiocles, also known as Esio, was a Cyrene-born citizen of the Roman Republic, who lived during the 1st century BCE.
Biography
Around 47 BCE, whilst playing outside of the Cyrene's Temple of Zeus, Esio witnessed the Medjay, Bayek, performed a Leap of Faith off of the temple's rooftop.
Capturing Bayek's attention, Esio convinced the Medjay to entertain the city's children by leaping off of various city landmarks' rooftops - including the city baths, the Temple of Apollo, and the Akropolis. Upon completing the final jump, Esio bestowed upon Bayek the title of the "Flea of Cyrene".
