Elais was a figure in Greek myths, said to be one of the daughters of the founder and king of Delos, Anios.
According to the stories, the god Dionysos granted Elais the ability to make oil spring from the ground.[1]
Influence
By the time of the Peloponnesian War a farm in the Kynthos Hills of Delos was dedicated to Elais.[1]
