David Wilkinson is the cinematics director on Assassin’s Creed III at Ubisoft Montreal.
Role at Ubisoft
To get the most out of the new game engine Anvil, Ubisoft hired the Australian born director Wilkinson, who is best known for his work as the cinematics director for Mass Effect 2.[1]
Alongside directing the cinematics and mo-cap aspects of cutscene, Wilkinson, breaks up the scenes between pure cutscenes and in-game cinematics to ensure synchronization and to ensure the player still has some level of control. Additionally, he also works closely with the storyboards and mo-cap actors to ensure the highest quality of accuracy with the games cinematics.
