Agamemnon's Helmet

Agamemnon's Helmet was a helmet that was a part of a set of armor which allegedly had belonged to the legendary king of Mycenae, Agamemnon. Flanked by two large plumes, the helmet covered the wearer's whole face with a metal mask, and bore the likeness of the three heads of Cerberos, the mythical hound of Hades, at its peak.

During the 5th century BCE, the armor pieces were in the possession of the Cult of Kosmos, split amongst the members of the Silver Vein branch. During the Peloponnesian War, the helmet was in the possession of Machaon who had made a shipyard in Patrai his base. The Spartan misthios Kassandra defeated Machaon and claimed the helmet for herself.[1]

Behind the scenes

Agamemnon's Helmet, a piece of armor in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as the more commonly found Ancient King's Helmet, but is distinct in colorisation from the latter's two variants.
