The Crepelgate Fort was a fortification in Lunden that was built around the Crepelgate, a gate of the London Wall built by the Romans that onced surrounded the city of Londinium.
In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir came to the fort to locate a musician by the name of Cynewulf, who was jailed for allegedly sleeping with the numerous women, including the guard captain's wife. Eivor freed Cynewulf from his cage, allowing for the reunion of his band with Ysane and Kitt.[1]
Around the same time, Eivor also explored the fort, recovering a nickel ingot and a Book of Knowledge in the process.[2]
