Corrine

Corrine

Corrine was the wife of Oliver, and served as barmaid for their tavern on the Davenport Homestead. Occasionally, she would speak with the Assassin Connor, though only when a group of her friends were present, alongside when she was in her bar.

Biography

Arrival on the Homestead

Corrine and her husband came to be introduced to Connor after they had brought a wagon of ale to the Homestead, after they had been evicted from their inn at Boston. On the recommendation of the couple by the other fellow residents, who were busy enjoying themselves due to the alcohol and good company, Connor agreed to put forth the money for the construction of a tavern on the Homestead, officially welcoming Corrine and Oliver to stay. The inn and tavern was ultimately named "The Mile's End", and provided bed and board for civilians.

Life on the Homestead

Upon taking up their roles as innkeepers and barkeeps, Corrine revealed that the couple were faring very well, between the income received from sailors from the Aquila, the residents of the Homestead, and the travelers passing through.

When Father Timothy arrived at the Homestead, he requested room and board from both Oliver and Corrine, who agreed. Corrine then handed him a bedpan, and he blessed them in return. Following this, the townsfolk gathered together and agreed that a church would be a welcome addition to the community, and as such, Connor provided the money for it to be built. Corrine later confided to Connor that having a church was beneficial for both her and Oliver, as they had been missing their Sunday Mass.

As life on the Homestead went on, through his efforts, Norris eventually managed to woo Myriam. This led on to their marriage taking place in the Homestead's church, and "The Mile's End" held the reception, where all of the Homestead residents gathered together to celebrate the occasion.

Trivia

• It is revealed that Corrine was illiterate, as she required Father Timothy to read a letter received from her mother.
  • It revealed that the family's house, barn, and wagon had burned to the ground, leaving them with no possessions and forced them to live in poverty, although Father Timothy proposed the Homestead create a collection to raise money for them.
  • Through this letter, it is revealed that Corrine's family's home was located in Natick, Massachusetts.
• While recieving her clothing measurements from Ellen, it is revealed that Ellen was to create a cotton dress for Corrine, and Ellen believed that she would be the envy on the Homestead while wearing it.
