878 AD is an interactive experience developed as a collaborative partnership between the Hampshire Cultural Trust and Ubisoft using Discovery Tour: Viking Age for visualization. It is expected to be released in November 2022, in Hampshire.

Details
878 AD will be an attraction taking place the upper floor of The Brooks Shopping Centre. It aims to provide visitors with historical insights into 9th century Winchester through live performance, immersive storytelling, innovative interpretation, contemporary Anglo-Saxon objects from the Hampshire Cultural Trust's collections and various other interactive elements.[2]
Once visitors have experienced the initial attraction, they can learn more via the mobile augmented reality app, 878 AD: Winchester Revealed developed by Sugar Creative. The augmented reality app can be used on many key historical landmarks throughout Winchester.[2]
