Checco Orsi was a member of a noble family of Forlì and brother to Ludovico. Bored with their life in the countryside, they started a loan-sharking business, and murdered any who didn't pay their debts.
Once, the brothers were hired by Caterina Sforza to kill her own husband, Girolamo Riario, after finding out that he was a Templar. Riario, who was already in debt to the Orsi brothers, was killed during a meal by the Orsis.
Later, Rodrigo Borgia hired them to kill Caterina obtain the Piece of Eden, an artifact stolen from him by Ezio Auditore in Venice. The Orsis agreed and laid siege to the city of Forlì. In the process, they captured two of Caterina's children. Using the children as a distraction for Ezio, Checco attacked the Rocca Di Ravaldino, the ward in which Caterina was holding the Apple. Caterina and Niccolò Machiavelli's resistance weren't enough to protect the Piece of Eden and Checco took it. With Checco running off to Rodrigo Borgia, Ezio chased him. Ezio intercepted him, though Checco, with his dying breath, stabbed Ezio in the stomach. Ezio stumbled off with the Piece of Eden, though the wound was sapping his strength. Eventually, he fell to the ground, and, before he lost consciousness, saw how the Piece of Eden was stolen from him by a monk with a missing finger. Caterina's guards found Ezio next to Checco's corpse.
