The Chalkotheke (English 'bronze storehouse') was a building in the Akropolis Sanctuary in Athens, Greece.
Built between the Parthenon and the Brauroneion either around 450 BCE or in the 370s BCE, the Chalkotheke was used as a military arsenal as well as a storage for bronze and iron items of Athens' treasury. These included metal vases, statues, weapons, and armor.[1]
