The Centaurs are a race of half-horse, half-human creatures featuring in the Greek mythology.

Influence

It is said that Atalanta, the princess of Arkadia, was proving to be a slayer of centaurs.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War a member of The Silver Vein branch of the Cult of Kosmos, The Centaur of Euboea, chose a cryptonym evoking the creatures.[2]

During the Renaissance a painting by Sandro Botticelli, Pallas and the Centaur, hung within the Villa Auditore in Monteriggioni.[3]
