The cane-sword is a cane or walking stick incorporating a concealed blade. Due to increasing limitations and regulations regarding weaponry, it was considered less acceptable to openly carry arms of any kind, even for personal defense. To balance the need for protection while obeying the law, yet still appearing respectably fashionable, cane-swords were developed. Notable users include Edward Kenway in the 18th century[1] and later Jacob and Evie Frye during the Industrial Revolution in Victorian London. These weapons had great stun ability, but were not as lethal as the kukris that were also available.[2]
