Caistor Lupus was an ancient Roman ruin situated in the forested area of northwestern Lincolnshire, England.

In the 1st century, the site was where Simon the Zealot, one of the desciples of Jesus Christ, was crucified. Following the exodus of Roman troops from Britannia during the early 5th century, the site, like most Roman settlements, fell into ruin and by the 9th century, became the home to a large wolf called the Gemad-Wulf.[1]
