The Burned Temple of Apollo

The Burned Temple of Apollo was a temple dedicated to the Greek god Apollo in the Forest of Eurotas in Lakonia, Greece. Found on a small hill in the southeastern part of the region, this temple was burned down by the Followers of Ares, who then settled in the ruins.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, claiming the Followers' valuables.[1]
