Bulgar was a country in Europe.
History[edit | edit source]
In 870, during his travels East, Viking Sigurd Styrbjornsson of the Raven Clan and his cousin Knud traveled in Bulgar along the Dniester river. They dealt with an attempted ambush at a swordsmith, and learned of the location of a very rich merchant's castle.[1]
This same castle was also the destination of Hidden One Ammon from Constantinople, who sought to retrieve a Shroud of Eden from it.[2] Both Knud and Ammon would die in Bulgar.
