Broken Chains was a virtual representation of one of Lo Sparviero's genetic memories relived by an Abstergo Entertainment research analyst through the Animus Omega.

Description

Lo Sparviero was tasked with finding and saving Demetrio il Silente, a weapon-smith and scientist looking to murder Cesare Borgia in Florence.

Memory Animus Feedback System

  • The whole plaza is under Borgia control. You have to get closer to Demetrio.
  • Demetrio is being held near the gallows. Find a way to free him!
    • FREE Demetrio
  • Escort Demetrio back to the hideout, but be aware of the patrolling Guards.
    • ESCORT Demetrio

Outcome

Upon freeing and escorting Demetrio to safety, the Assassins discovered that he was originally hired by Cesare to create a deadlier replica of the Hidden Blade, which Cesare named "Corvix Blade" and entrusted to his secretive mercenaries known as the Crows.

Behind the scenes

Before the story rewrite update of Assassin's Creed: Identity, it was the 4th memory in the game. The memory's title was The Blade Maker, and the date was in 1497. After the update, the date was no longer available. Since the date was no longer available in the game, 1506 was the date picked for the Assassin's Creed Wiki by Sol Pacificus before it came to be adopted by Triton Noir, the development team of the expansion pack Creed vs Crows of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood of Venice.[1]
