During the American Revolution, Boston was an important location to both the American and British armies, and was frequently visited by the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton. It was here that Ratonhnhaké:ton assisted in the Boston Tea Party, where he helped the colonists dump tea into the harbor and eventually assassinated William Johnson .
