I like the idea of a futuristic setting. I doubt they literally mean in the future, so this is probably a First Civ time period. Maybe this would be a better way to expand the lore rather than trying to give us a history lesson? It would definitely allow for some interesting environments & weapons, which won't be restricted by historical accuracy. | I like the idea of a futuristic setting. Ubisoft recently sent out a poll listing different potential settings for future installments. Here's the list:
- Overthrow of the Tsar Empire by the Communists during the Russian Revolution
- Korea, Siege of Busan (1592)
- The Cold War with US and Russian nuclear submarines (or US destroyers)
- Egyptian Empire
- Joan of Arc's battles and rise of the Black Death during the Hundred Years War.
- Viking's Voyages to America in the 11th Century.
- A futuristic setting
- Invasion of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors
- Violent conflicts of the Imperial Dynasties in Medieval China
- The advent of the mighty British Empire during Victorian England
- Warlord Battles of Feudal Japan
- Roman Empire.
