Jörð was a giantess in Norse mythology.
Legacy and influence
In 2020, Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relived Eivor Varinsdottir's memories, modified her Animus and included a seax based on Jörð in the shieldmaiden's arsenal.[1]
Behind the scenes
Unlike in mythology, Freyja is stated to be the mother of Thor instead of Jörð, but it is uncertain if birth mother was meant or not.[2]
Appearances
- Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (first mentioned)
- The Forgotten Saga (mentioned only)
- Discovery Tour: Viking Age (mentioned only)
