Killer whales, also known as orcas or grampuses, are a species of dolphin found in oceans across the globe. Hunting in pods similar to wolf packs, they are ferocious predators that feast on seals, sea lions and other whales.
Throughout the 18th century, killer whales were hunted by various individuals, such as the pirates Edward Kenway and Adéwalé, as well as the Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac. They could be found in the Cruz and Conttoyor regions of the Caribbean, and the Port la Joye and Fort Louis regions of the North Atlantic. After a killer whale was slain, the spoils were usually either sold for profit or used to craft other materials, such as armor.[1][2]

- The Killer Killer achievement could be earned by harpooning a killer whale in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
