Alluded to in the Prose Edda, giant floating rocks, literal slabs of Muspelheim, were apparently used as a mode of transport for Muspel warriors, ferrying them and anything of significant value. Could these also have served another function, perhaps to terraform realms, rendering them more hospitable to the fire giants?
