Piri Reis: Datura was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.
Description
Ezio Auditore met with Piri Reis to learn of another type of bomb, one filled with Datura poison.
Dialogue
- Piri: Kopekoglu! (Son of a dog!) I need to reconcile these ancient Greek maps with data from Admiral Columbus, but this is like comparing maps of the moon and the earth. What a mess. Ah, Ezio! Cheer me up. Let me teach you something.
- Ezio: What about these poison bombs? How lethal are they?
- Piri: Quite lethal, dostum (my friend). We distill our poison from the datura plant. A pretty little flower with a deadly secret. This one kills... slowly but surely. Be very careful, for your sake and for others'.
- Ezio: Grazie. (Thank you).
Outcome
Ezio learned how to use the Datura bomb and took revenge on the Templars who had stolen Assassin property.
Behind the scenes
Despite Piri Reis warning Ezio to not harm himself when using Datura bombs, this is not reflected in gameplay, where Ezio cannot take damage from his own bombs.
