The Virgin Islands are an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea, divided into three jurisdictions: the Spanish Virgin Islands, the United States Virgin Islands, and the British Virgin Islands, the latter of which includes Dead Chest Island.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
In 1777, the Colonial Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton completed a number of privateering contracts to reduce the risk to ships on the shipping lane to the islands. These included sinking British vessels[2] like the Orpheus[3] and the Greyhound.[4]
