Santo Spirito

The Basilica of Santa Maria del Santo Spirito is a major church in the Oltrano District of Florence. Located at the top of its bell-fry is a view point and the church is only accessible after the Bonfire of the Vanities DLC is purchased.

History

The Italian architect Filippo Brunelleschi (1377-1446) began designing the Santo Spirito in the year 1428. After his death, followers of his (Antonio Manetti, Giovanni da Gaiole, and Salvi d'Andrea) carried on his work. The sacristy was designed by Simone del Pollaiolo and bell tower (built 1503) was designed by Baccio d'Agnolo
