Austri-stifla

Austri-stifla (Runic: ᛅᚢᛋᛏᚱᛁᛋᛏᛁᚠᛚᛅ) was the eastern dam in northern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion of the realm, jötnar warriors set up a base at the bottom of the dam as they guarded a portal to Ginnungagap.

History

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi ventured upward atop the dam and found a page about the heroic saga of the dwarf Gæfuleysi and his rumors about Thor's manhood.[1]

Behind the scenes

Depending on either dam in Svartalfheim, Havi may have chosen to enter the portal at Austri-stifla after obtaining all of pieces of armor of the Jotun Armor Set.[2]
