The Atoll Point

The Atoll Point is the southern region of Paros, Greece. Southwest of Paros Island, Atoll Point covered two small islands.

History

Though uninhabited during the Peloponnesian War, the island's landscape was littered with ruins, including a temple. This temple was used by Circe as the abode of herself and her tamed animals, including wild boars, lions, and pigs.[1] At the eastern shore of Atoll Point was a tomb. [2]

At the behest of Barnabas, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the island in order to find Barnabas' wife, Leda.[3]

Trivia

  • The Atoll Point covers the islands of Antiparos and Despotiko, both of archeological interest.
