The Atlantic Garden was a beer garden and music hall in the Bowery of New York City.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
In July 1863, the American Assassin Varius met with the Mentor to discuss the Brotherhood's failure to convince the Bowery Boys gang to stay out of the coming riots in response to President Abraham Lincoln's recent civil war drafts. Nevertheless, the Mentor tasked Varius to infiltrate the Astor House, find the Aztec Club's room, steal a Piece of Eden from within called the Dagger of Faith, and deliver it to the United States Army General Ulysses S. Grant in Mississippi to help him win the war. Varius agreed before the Mentor left, armed himself at the Garden's armory, and headed to the Astor House.[2]
